Who We Are

Understory Arts is an offshoot of Tall Firs Cinema, a filmmaking studio located in the Pacific Northwest. Their first feature award-winning documentary, Promised Land, debuted in film festivals in 2016. They have received filmmaking grants from Artist Trust, 4Culture, Field of Vision, and City of Seattle.

Together, with other like-minded storytellers and creative innovators, they formed Understory Arts to find a way to translate artistic success into an environment of giving back to other storytellers.
